Still looking good...

This afternoon Rob is still looking good. The doctors say that if we see this continued stabilization they will start to slowly start to bring him out of sedation tomorrow morning. They have to do this gradually in order to allow his body to adjust as it goes. He can have withdrawls from the sedative so it is important that they make it a slow process.

They usually think about putting in a trache to help him breathe instead of the breathing tube down his throat after about 7-10 days on the ventilator. He has been on the ventilator for 6 days now so that could be in his future. But they say it is much easier to come off the trache when he's ready to breathe on his own than it is to come off the breathing tube. There is a higher risk of pnemonia while on the breathing tube so if it is going to be a while, they like to switch to the trache and decrease that risk. But we will cross that bridge if we come to it.

But for now, he's still stable and looking great! Our Pastor came up this morning and said a prayer with us. So we are still praying for his continued improvement.
