Rehab continues...
Rob has had a couple days of rehab under his belt now. He's getting much more proficient at most of the tasks they test him with. He's doing very well. Some of the things they have him doing seem silly but I'm sure they have their purposes. Other things he really needs, like help with stairs and different surfaces. He was very glad to hear from the doctor that he should be ready to go home on Wednesday morning. He was so happy to hear that, as was I. When we left to drive from Iowa City to Ottumwa on Thursday he said he just felt like we were sneaking out, like we shouldn't be outside the hospital. I felt that way too. It was a nice break for the 2 hour ride but it wasn't so nice coming into another hospital. But it's one step closer to home. He's counting down the days now.
He wants me to thank everyone again for all the support that he's been getting. It's just overwhelming to both of us to see the amount of support everyone has sent our way. Thank you all again! So home we go...Wednesday...FINALLY!!!
