Making progress on the vent...

Rob had a good night last night. He slept pretty well with just a little assistance from sedation medication. They turned his oxygen level down to 45% this morning. He seems to be doing very well at that level so I hope more progress can be made today on the vent.

Otherwise he hasn't had many changes since last night. The chest tube is still draining more fluid from his lungs so that will remain in place as long as it is draining more fluid. He gave an attempt at writing this morning but didn't get too far. He is still very weak and will have to gain strength to hold the marker again. He did read several of the emails and cards this morning that he has received. He can handle reading a handful of them before he gets tired and drifts off to sleep again.
