4 weeks today...

Today marks 4 weeks since Rob was admitted to the hospital. He went into Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa around noon on the 24th of June. What an eventful 4 weeks we've had. But he's come very far.

The doctors removed his chest tube this morning so he has one less line hanging on him. They made some other small adjustments to his vent settings overnight that put him to the absolute lowest he can be on this settings. The nurse wasn't sure that they would try to let him breathe on his own today. She said it sounds like they will probably give him today and overnight to build up his strength with his breathing and give it a shot tomorrow. So it sounds like one more day before trials will start. They don't want to push him too quickly and cause him to move backwards. Which is fine with me.

I don't have a lot to report this afternoon but I'll stick with no news is good news!
