More good progress...

Rob is starting another good day. His lung function is doing very well so hopefully the breathing tube will be able to come out in a matter of a few more days. The doctor was guessing maybe after the weekend. But that's just a good guess. So things are still looking up. His temp is still a battle for him. Hopefully that will break soon. But we're still waiting. They are continuing to take more cultures to be sure nothing grows from them to indicate infection. Nothing has shown up so far so that's been great news.

His other levels are all looking great. His heart rate is getting lower everyday. He's been under 90 this morning, which is great. They will give him drugs to help keep that down whenever he is over 90. So being under 90 is great. His oxygen saturation is doing good. 92+ is good and he's been over that for the majority of the time. So he's still getting great oxygen concentration, which is great. His belly pressure was 20 at the last check, which is still really good.

We tested the doctor this morning to see what kind of time frame he thinks he'll remain in ICU. He didn't think it would be a matter of weeks, hopefully only another week or 2. By then, he could be able to move to a regular room on the floor. That would be tremendous progress for him.

So all in all, he's still making great progress and we pray it continues.

Kelly

Thanks for the blog Kelly. This is a great way for all of us to keep in touch and you not having to repeat yourself so many times. It also drives our prayers. Glad to hear you are keeping yourself and the baby in close thoughts too. Know I'm thinking and praying for you both often and hope to see you both soon!
